Dragon Edong presents “Tatak” International Tatu Expo. A three day tattoo event with internationally known artists from all over the world featuring different methods of tattooing, from coil and rotary machines to traditional methods like tebori, batek, and other hand tap tattoo methods.

Competition Rules

Best of Day

Tattoos must start and finish on the same day at the show/expo.

Best Portrait

Only human/person portraits. No celebrity or well known figures as models for portrait. Must provide reference picture.

Best Cover-Up

Must be healed and must provide before picture.

Best of Show

Minimum size of 8.5” x 11” or 93 square inches. Tattoos must start and finish at the show ONLY. Does not have to finish in one day.

Fresh Tattoos

Must be properly wiped. No blood or bodily fluids dripping.

Black and grey

Black & Grey tattoos must consist black ink only. White and grey ink will be accepted but may not be more than 10% of the tattoo, any more than 10% will be considered as a colored tattoo

Tattoo Time

No one is allowed to start tattoos early. Tattoos may only start during the Tatu Expo Hours. Any one that tattoos outside of expo hours WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Event Rules

Music is centralized. Additional or personal speakers are not allowed. If you would like to listen to your personal music, please use headphones or earphones.
No food allowed in the booth. Water is permitted.
No outside food or drinks allowed.
Minimum tattoo price is $75.
No piercing or micro blading.
No apprentice is allowed to tattoo.
2 years minimum experience to participate in the expo.

Florida Bloodborne Pathogens Certification

Please note the following for all attending artists:

All artists attending the Expo are REQUIRED to obtain a Tattoo License from the state of Florida
Even if you have a license in another state, you still need to get a new one for Florida.
If your state does not require a tattoo license, for each artist, you would have to apply for a yearly license.
Florida requires all artists to take an approved Bloodborne Pathogens course.
After you complete the BBP course, you need to submit your certificate along with your tattoo artist application.
